OUR STORY
Shextreme is an empowering community celebrating Women in Adventure’s creativity in all its forms from award-winning adventure films to live adventure poetry performances.
Founded in 2014 with shextreme.tv, we launched Shextreme Film Festival: the world’s first film festival for women in extreme sports and adventure in 2015.
Since then, our mission to improve the diverse representation of active women on screen and behind the lens has taken us on a Shextreme Film Tour to the French Alps and UK cinemas with BFI and adventure filmmaking training for women in Shextreme Film School and workshops at CAMP VC.
In 2018, we’re excited to launch Shextreme Alliance: the world’s first International Alliance supporting and training female adventure filmmakers, photographers and media makers. Find out more here.
